29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): The employer did not administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.95(c) through (o) whenever employee noise exposures equaled or exceeded an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of fifty percent:    (a) At pallet repair station 1, a pallet repair operator was exposed to noise levels at 160% of the permissible 8-hour TWA (90 dBA).  The equivalent dBA level of 160% is approximately 93.3 dBA.  Sampling was performed for 411 minutes during one shift.  Zero exposure was assumed for the unsampled period of 69 minutes.    (b) At pallet repair station 1 and 3, a pallet repair operator was exposed to noise levels at 92.17% of the permissible 8-hour TWA (90 dBA).  The equivalent dBA level of 92.17% is approximately 89.4 dBA.  Sampling was performed for 383 minutes during one shift.  Zero exposure was assumed for the unsampled period of 97 minutes.    I-30 Pallet Co., Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1391701, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on June 7, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 679 Interstate Highway 30 East, Sulphur Springs, Texas 75482.
