29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A): Respirators with tight-fitting facepieces were worn by employees who had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interfered with valve function: (a) Facility: On or about December 5, 2019 employees wearing half-mask elastomeric respirators as protection against crystalline silica, wore them with facial hair that interfered with the face-to-facepiece seal. Stone Systems of New England, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard ,29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1298017, citation number 1, item number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on 5/10/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 9 Steel Street in Slatersville, RI.

29 CFR 1910.134(l)(1): Evaluations of the workplace were not conducted to ensure the written respiratory protection program was being effectively implemented: (a) Facility: On or about December 5, 2019 the employer did not conduct an effective evaluation of the workplace to ensure that the written respiratory protection program was being effectively implemented. On two separate occasions CSHO N6562 observed employees wearing half-mask elastomeric respirators, with facial hair that interfered with the face-to-facepiece seal, for protection against respirable crystalline silica. Stone Systems of New England, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard, 29 CFR 1910.134(l)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1298017, citation number 1, item number 1b and was affirmed as a final order on 5/10/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 9 Steel Street in Slatersville, RI.
