29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a): Production Area, Prodo Pack machine- One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the employee from hazards created by the rotating hoppers. An employee suffered a finger laceration when she was placing pills into the hoppers and her finger was caught in the pinch point created by the rotating hoppers, on or about, December 5, 2019. There is no abatement certification or documentation required for this item.
