29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1)(I): The employer did not select and have each employee use the types of PPE that will protect the affected employee from the hazards identified in the hazard assessment: (a)On or about December 12, 2019, the employer, ARS, LLC., did not ensure employees preforming detailing work on vehicles, were protected from severe eye injury from chemical liquids, acidic liquids and or caustic liquids, with adequate eye and face protection while using the following chemicals: Car Brite H/D Wheel Cleaner Concentrated Acid-Free Wheel & Tire Cleaner which contains a caustic chemical, Sodium Hydroxide and Ethylene Glycol Monobutyl Ether which is a known corrosive that causes severe eye damage as stated in the product's Safety Data Sheet. Car Brite M-50 All Purpose Cleaner Concentrated Light Duty General Purpose Cleaner which contains Ethylene Glycol Monobutyl, Potassium Dodecyl Benzene Sulphonate, and Alcohols, C12-C14-Secondary, Ethoxylated. This is an acidic/ caustic liquid which causes severe eye damage as stated in the product's Safety Data Sheet. Car Brite Hot Stuff Concentrated Heavy Duty Degreaser which contains caustic chemical, Sodium Hydroxide and Ethylene Glycol Monobutyl Ether which is a known corrosive that causes severe eye damage as stated in the product's Safety Data Sheet.
