29 CFR 1910.107(c)(6): Electrical wiring and equipment not subject to deposits of combustible residues but located in a spraying area as herein defined were not explosion-proof type approved for     Class I, group D locations and did not otherwise conform to the provisions of subpart S of this part, for Class I, Division 1, Hazardous Locations:    a) BDJ/Techmation, Inc. located at 516 North Parkway in West Unity, Ohio; On or about December 19, 2019 the employer did not ensure electrical wiring, motors, and other equipment outside of but within twenty feet of the spray area were designed for class 1 division 2 hazardous locations. Employees were exposed to fire hazards in that an electrical outlet located within approximately seven feet and four inches of the spray booth.

29 CFR 1910.107(g)(2): All spraying areas were not kept as free from the accumulation of deposits of combustible residues as practical, with cleaning conducted daily if necessary:    a) BDJ/Techmation, Inc. located at 516 North Parkway in West Unity, Ohio; On or about December 19, 2019 the employer did not ensure spraying areas were kept free from accumulations of deposits of combustible residues. Employees were exposed to hazards associated with fires in that accumulations of paint such as, but not limited to, Black CI Primer, were observed on the floor, walls, and equipment near Line 10 K010 Paint Booth.

29 CFR 1910.107(b)(5)(i): The average air speed over the open face of the paint spray booth was less than 100 linear feet per minute.    a) BDJ/Techmation, Inc. located at 516 North Parkway in West Unity, Ohio; On or about February 25, 2020 the employer did not ensure the spraying operation maintained an average air velocity over the open face of the booth of not less than 100 linear feet per minute. Employees were exposed to hazards associated with fires in that accumulations of paint such as, but not limited to, Black CI Primer, were observed on the floor, walls, and equipment outside of Line 10 K010 Paint Booth.

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s):    a) BDJ/Techmation, Inc. located at 516 North Parkway in West Unity, Ohio; On or about December 19, 2019 the employer did not assure that the point of operation on the Cam Tech Router Master was guarded. Employees operating the router table were exposed to laceration and amputation hazards in that the point of operation was not guarded.
