29 CFR 1926.652(c)(2)(i): Design of support systems, shield systems, or other protective systems that are drawn from manufacturer's tabulated data were not in accordance with all specifications, recommendations, and limitations issued or made by the manufacturer: a. On or about December 19, 2019, during the replacement of underground water main pipe components at the corner of Fairway Boulevard and Darrow Road, Hudson, Ohio, the employer did not ensure an employee working inside a trench, with a depth of approximately 6 feet and approximately 90 degree vertical walls, was properly utilizing Speed Shore hydraulic aluminum shoring in that there was only one shore used which was contrary to manufacturer's specifications. The soil was classified as; hard clay , Cohesive Soil, Type B .
