29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: Location: Around the Plastic Roll at the rear of the machine Employees were exposed to caught in between hazards while working and walking in the proximity of ingoing nip points and rotating parts at the rear of the Bag Machines. On or about 12/14/2019, an employee's hair was caught in an ingoing nip point and wrapped around a rotating shaft while measuring the thickness of the plastic on the shaft where the hazardous area was inadequately guarded.
