29 CFR 1926.701(b): All protruding reinforcing steel, onto and/or into which employees could fall, was not guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement: (a) Level Two, South End On or about January 23, 2020, carpenters were exposed to an impalement hazard while constructing decking formwork next to approximately forty unprotected vertical #5 rebar that projected (vertically) from the top of a wall. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet).
