29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1)(i): The employer did not select and have each affected employee use, the types of personal protective equipment that would protect the affected employee(s) from the hazards identified in the hazard assessment: a.) Unique Fabrications, Inc. 19059 Paint Blvd, Shippenville, PA 16254-Fabrication/back shop area-On or about January 30, 2020 and times prior thereto: Employees performing MIG welding operations were not protected from potential burns to the body, in that, personal protective equipment for body protection during welding operations was made available but not required to be worn for all welders by the employer. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
