29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(7): The alternative method in lieu of affixing labels to individual stationary process containers did not convey the information required by 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6): On or about January 27th, 2020, in the Mixing Department, the employer did not ensure that the process tanks contained labels that conveyed the information required by 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6). The labels on the tanks did not contain product identifiers and words, pictures, symbols, or combination thereof, which provided at least general information regarding the hazards of the chemicals, and which, in conjunction with the other information immediately available to employees (such as Safety Data Sheets), provided employees with the specific information regarding the physical and health hazards of the chemicals. Ataraxia, LLC, was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1385973, citation number 1, item number 6-C, and was affirmed as a final order on August 5th, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 884 Industrial Street in Albion, IL.
