29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Inside the molding plant building, the employer did not ensure interlocks were installed on machine robot cages prior to allowing employees to access into the robot cages during machine operation exposing them to struck-by hazards; 1) machine M-5 robot cage, no interlock, 2) Machine M-8 robot cage, no interlock, 3)Machine M-10 robot cage, no interlock, 4) Machine M-11 robot cage, no interlock and 5) Machine M-23 robot cage, no interlock.
