29 CFR 1910.107(e)(2): The quantity of flammable or combustible liquids kept in the vicinity of spraying operation(s) exceeded the minimum required for operation: a) In the Spray Booth, on or about February 11, 2020 - The quantity of Premium Wash Thinner kept in the spray booth where employees spray finish with flammable liquids exceeded the minimum required for operation. ABATEMENT NOTE: 1. The quantity of flammable or combustible liquids kept in the vicinity of spraying operations shall be the minimum required for operations and should not exceed a supply for one day or one shift. 2. Bulk storage of portable containers of flammable or combustible liquids shall be in a separate, constructed building detached from other buildings. Gaven Industries, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.107(e)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1195300, citation number 1, item number 2a and was affirmed as a final order on February 1, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 6655 North Noah Drive, Saxonburg, PA 16056.
