OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): of the Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to struck by hazards. On or about March 5, 2020, employees working in a trench installing a new pipe system at the Sanford Ranch/Scout oil lease were exposed to struck by hazards from the excavator.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (Construction Reference: 1926.59) On or about 5 March 2020, employees engaged in installing new pipe systems at the Sanford Ranch/Scout Oil Lease were not provided training related to hazardous chemicals, such as but not limited to, hydrogen sulfide.
