29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1)(i): Hazard assessment and equipment selection.  The employer shall assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). If such hazards are present, or likely to be present, the employer shall:  Select, and have each affected employee use, the types of PPE that will protect the affected employee from the hazards identified in the hazard assessment;      a) On or about March 3, 2020 the employers PPE hazard assessment was inadequate in that tight fitting eye protection and face protection was not required when there was the potential for splash when pouring chemicals, such as but not limited to Ethyl Lactate (severe eye injury, avoid skin contact) from drums into secondary containers.
