29 CFR 1910.134(a)(2): A respirator was not provided by the employer to each employee when such equipment was necessary to protect the health of the employee. The employer did not provide the respirators which are applicable and suitable for the purpose intended. The employer was not responsible for the establishment and maintenance of a respiratory protection program, which did not include the requirements outline in paragraph (c) of this section. The program did not cover each employee required by this section to use a respirator: a) New Jersey Addiction Treatment Center LLC d/b/a Sunrise House, 37 Sunset Inn Rd, Lafayette, NJ: The employer did not require the use of filtering face piece respirators to protect employees exposed to SARS-CoV-2. Employees working in positions such as Registered Nurses (RNs) and housekeeping staff were exposed to SARS-CoV-2 while providing direct patient care to and cleaning the rooms of suspected or confirmed COVID-19 patients. Violation occurred on or about 04/27/2020 and thereafter.
