29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system: Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system: The employer is failing to ensure that all employees exposed to fall hazards while working on a residential roof are utilizing fall protection. This most recently occurred on May 18, 2020 on the jobsite located at 4923 Woolworth Ave., Omaha, NE 68106. The owner had 3 employees installing roofing materials on an existing 2-story house without any form fall protection. Height from the ground to the edge of the roof is approximately 8.5 feet and the roof has an 8 in 12 pitch. NDG Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1335158, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on September 6, 2018 with respect to a workplace located at 3420 Bline Ave., Bellevue, NE 68123.
