29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On or about May 26, 2020, during the installation of wood framing material for the construction of a commercial building located at 27155 Detroit Road, Westlake, Ohio, the employer did not ensure an employee working on the roof (unprotected side and edge) of the building was protected from a fall of approximately 11 feet by the use of a guardrail system, safety net system, and/or personal fall arrest system. STRANO CONSTRUCTION, LLC., WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD, 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1189520, CITATION NUMBER 01, ITEM NUMBER 001 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON OR ABOUT DECEMBER 12, 2016, WITH RESPECT TO A WORK PLACE LOCATED AT 8736 BRECKSVILLE ROAD, BRECKSVILLE, OHIO.
