29 CFR 1926.502(a)(2): Employers shall provide and install all fall protection systems required by this subpart for an employee, and shall comply with all other pertinent requirements of this subpart before that employee begins the work that necessitates the fall protection: A) Guardrail systems; B) Safety net systems; or C) Personal fall protection system, such as personal fall arrest, travel restraint, or position systems. On May 6, 2020, located on the west side of a pole barn, an employee exposed to a fall hazard standing at the edge of a overhang roof installing a ladder lift to transport solar panels onto a metal roof and that the employer failed to install a fall protection system before an employee performing the work. Potential fall height was measured to be 8' with a roof pitch of 4 in 12.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): "Unprotected sides and edges." Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On May 6, 2020, located on the west side of a pole barn, an employee exposed to a fall hazard standing at the edge of the overhang roof installing a ladder lift to transport solar panels onto a metal roof while not utilizing any fall protection system. Potential fall height measured to be 8' with a roof pitch of 4 in 12. The Solgen Power, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.28(b)(15), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1466893, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 4/14/2020, with respect to a workplace located at 9710 Kensington Lane.
