29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1)(i): The employer did not select and have each affected employee use, the types of personal protective equipment that would protect the affected employee(s) from the hazards identified in the hazard assessment: NAF El Centro Airport Vraciu Field (Hot Side): On or about June 2, 2020 and times prior to, employees were using the Sherwin-Williams Company two-part paint mixture to paint valves on the fuel system without eye protection. The personal protective equipment hazard assessment for painting operations states: Safety glasses or face shields must be worn at any time work operations can cause foreign objects to get into the eye. Employees were exposed to splashes and/or eye irritant hazards when mixing and applying the paint.
