Early Light Dr.: On or about 17 June, 2020, and at times prior thereto; framers were exposed to falls from 11 feet to 15 feet while laying sheathing on a 6/12, 18 foot roof. 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a) On June 17, 2020, residential construction framers installing sheathing on a 6/12, 18 foot roof used a portable ladder with side rails extending 1.5 feet above the lower roofline measured at 8.4 feet. Note* Abatement certification IS required for this item.
