The employer did not provide the Occupational Safety and Health Administration certification of abatement as required for Citation #1, Item #2 & #3 issued on June 30, 2020.

29 CFR 1926.405(g)(2)(iv): Flexible cords were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief is provided to prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws:  Employees engaged in residential framing activities at the jobsite located at 15900 W 96th St. in Lenexa KS were exposed to electrical shock hazards in that the extension cord used to supply power to the Milwaukee reciprocating saw was not equipped with adequate strain relief.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(4): Ladders were used for purposes other than the purposes for which they were designed:  Employee engaged in residential framing activities at the jobsite located at 15900 W 96th St. in Lenexa KS. Employee stood on the top rung of a Werner A frame ladder, employee was exposed to a fall hazards of approximately 6 feet from the top rung of the ladder to the ground below, in that the ladder was not used for the purpose that it was designed.

29 CFR 1926.1060(a): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee using ladders and stairways, as necessary, which would train each employee in the procedures to be followed to minimize hazards related to ladders and stairways:  Employee conducting residential framing activities at the jobsite located at 15900 W 96th St. in Lenexa KS, was exposed to fall hazards of approximately 6 feet from the top rung of a Werner A frame ladder to the ground below. The employee was exposed in that ladder training was not provided to minimize the hazards associated with using and climbing a ladder.
