Employee stood on the top rung of a Werner A frame ladder, employee was exposed to a fall hazards of approximately 6 feet from the top rung of the ladder to the ground below, in that the ladder was not used for the purpose that it was designed.

29 CFR 1926.1060(a): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee using ladders and stairways, as necessary, which would train each employee in the procedures to be followed to minimize hazards related to ladders and stairways: Employee conducting residential framing activities at the jobsite located at 15900 W 96th St. in Lenexa KS, was exposed to fall hazards of approximately 6 feet from the top rung of a Werner A frame ladder to the ground below. The employee was exposed in that ladder training was not provided to minimize the hazards associated with using and climbing a ladder.
