29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6)(ii): Except as provided in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(7) and 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(8), the employer did not ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled, tagged or marked with the product identifier and words, pictures, symbols, or combination thereof, which provide at least general information regarding the hazards of the chemicals and which, in conjunction with the other information immediately available to employees under the hazard communication program, would provide employees with the specific information regarding the physical and health hazards of the hazardous chemical On or about June 11, 2020, the employer failed to ensure that the used chemical tote(s) brought into the production facility from another one of their facilities was adequately labeled. A chemical tote that previously had TyrFil Heavy Duty ISO Component was cleaned out by the employer, at a different facility of theirs, with Carlisle TyrFil G Flush cleaning solution, and was brought into the production facility. The chemical tote had the labeling for the TyrFil Heavy Duty ISO Component, but did not have the labeling for the Carlisle TyrFil G Flush cleaning solution; therefore the labeling of the hazardous chemicals was inadequate. The Bob Sumerel Tire Company Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.1200(f)(6), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1277909, citation number 2, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 6/6/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 55 Leetsdale Industrial Drive, Leetsdale, PA 15056.
