29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system.  Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system.  On or about July 27, 2020, employees were exposed to a fall of approximately 9.5 feet while performing roofing activities on a commercial building located at 60 Shiawassee, Fairlawn, Ohio 44333.  The employees were working near the edges of the flat roof and the employer did not ensure that their was a safety monitor in place.  MJ Roofing LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1320088, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 8/17/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 2959 Apalachee PKWY., Leon, Florida 32301.
