29 CFR 1926.454(a): The employer did not have each employee who performed work while on a scaffold trained by a person qualified in the subject matter to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold being used and to understand the procedures to control or minimize those hazards: (a)Orion Rigging Company, LLC at 1523 Western Avenue, Brookings, SD 57006: On or about and at times prior to July 23, 2020, the employer did not ensure employees utilizing a boatswains chair to erect fabricated steel beams were trained in the use of the boatswains chair. This condition exposed an employee to the improper use of the boatswain chair.
