29 CFR 1926.1101(k)(9)(i):The employer did not institute, at no cost to employees, a training program for each employee who was likely to be exposed in excess of the permissible exposure limit (PEL) and for each employee who performed Class I through IV asbestos operations: a) As part of contracted roof replacement of a warehouse building at 5 Van Veghten Drive in Bridgewater NJ, employee(s) removed the old flat roof (Class II work) on the west side of the expansion joint midpoint, for which a bulk sample by the employer indicated asbestos content. Employee(s) were not provided training on the work practices specific to removal of asbestos-containing roofing material; exposing them to the health hazard of asbestos. Condition(s) were noted on or about 8/21/2020.
