29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11):Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) Jobsite located at 1053 James Walter Way, Kennett Square, PA: : The employer did not ensure that employees engaged in roofing activities while working on a residential roof approximately 15 feet above the ground level, on a 12:12 steep pitched roof. The employees did not utilize any form of fall protection; thus exposing employees to fall hazards. Condition was observed on or about 25 AUG 2020.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1):The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: a) Jobsite located at 1053 James Walter Way, Kennett Square, PA: The employer did not provide training to employees engaged in roofing activities. Employees were working on roof trusses approximately 15 feet above the ground level. Employees were not trained on how to recognize, evaluate, and mitigate hazards associated with working on a roof. Condition was observed on or about 25 AUG 2020.
