29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) Jobsite, building B unit 7 and unit 5: On or about July 28, 2020 and at times prior thereto the controlling employer, Perryman Construction Management did not ensure that its sub-contractor protected their employees from fall hazards while accessing various levels of each unit. Guardrail systems were not in place in areas, including but not limited to, stairway openings and balcony doors. Note) Certification of corrective action is required for this item.

29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1): Stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches (76 cm), whichever is less, were not equipped with at least one handrail and one stairrail system along each unprotected side or edge: a) Building A and B: On August 28, 2020 and at times prior thereto the controlling employer, Perryman Construction Management, did not ensure that its sub-contractors protected their employees from trip and fall hazards while using stairways for access to various levels in each unit. Handrail systems were not in place in building A, and stairrail systems were not in place on each open sided set of stairs in building B. Note) Certification of corrective action is required for this item.
