29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8): The employer did not maintain in the workplace copies of the required Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for each hazardous chemical, and did not ensure that they were readily accessible during each work shift to employees when they were in their work area(s): (a) Summit Bodyworks, LLC, at 13525 Weld County Road 8, Fort Lupton, CO: On and preceding 9/21/2020, Summit Bodyworks, LLC did not ensure that Safety Data Sheets (SDS) were readily accessible during each work shift to employees when they were in their work area. The employer utilized an internet based resource for accessing Safety Data Sheets (SDSs). The employer did not have a backup means for accessing SDSs. Chemicals in the workplace included, but were not limited to the following: 1. Dow Chemical caulk; and 2. Fiberglass. This condition exposed employees to chemical hazards. (b) Summit Bodyworks, LLC, at 13525 Weld County Road 8, Fort Lupton, CO: On and preceding 9/21/2020, Summit Bodyworks, LLC did not maintain in the workplace copies of the required Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for each hazardous chemical. Chemicals found in the workplace for which the employer did not have an SDS included, but were not limited, to the following: 1. Fiberglass. This condition exposed employees to a chemical hazard.
