29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system. Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system. On or about September 23, 2020, Employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 12ft. 2in. and 13ft. and 3in., on a construction site in Rantoul, Illinois, and adequate fall protection was not being used while working on the low-slope section of the commercial building. LANGLOIS ROOFING, INC. WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 1926.501(B)(10), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1346414 CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 1, AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON JANUARY 29, 2019, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 19990 S. LAGRANGE ROAD, MOKENA, ILLINOIS, 60448.
