29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit routes were not kept free and unobstructed.  Materials or equipment were placed, either permanently or temporarily, within the exit route.  a. On or about October 23, 2020, next to PO Box Section 6, U.S. Postal Service Post Office, 100 Borinquen Avenue, Trujillo Alto, PR; the egress route and access to the emergency exit door, was obstructed by a mail cart, a wheeled file cabinet and a trash bin among other objects.  b. On or about October 23, 2020, at the Post Master Office, U.S. Postal Service Post Office, 100 Borinquen Avenue, Trujillo Alto, PR; the egress route and access to the emergency exit door, was obstructed by filing bins, boxes, a paper shredder and a shipping supplies display.   NOTE: Certification and documentation of abatement must be submitted for this citation item as required by 29 CFR 1903.19(c) and (d), respectively.

Sufficient access and working space shall be provided and maintained about all electric equipment to permit ready and safe operation and maintenance of such equipment.  a. On or about October 23, 2020, Air Conditioning Room, U.S. Postal Service Post Office, 100 Borinquen Avenue, Trujillo Alto, PR; four electrical service panels (identified as DP-2, Generator Switch, Power Command Transfer Switch and SD-1) were not provided and maintained a minimum of 3 feet working clearance.   NOTE: Certification and documentation of abatement must be submitted for this citation item as required by 29 CFR 1903.19(c) and (d), respectively.

29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): All places of  employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms and walking-working surfaces were not kept in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition:    a. On or about October 23, 2020, at the U.S. Postal Service Post Office, 100 Borinquen Avenue, Trujillo Alto, PR; corridors and passageways, throughout the workfloor, air conditioner room, Post Master Office and P.O. Boxes area, were obstructed by boxes, filing bins and equipment.  b. On or about October 23, 2020, at the U.S. Postal Service Post Office, 100 Borinquen Avenue, Trujillo Alto, PR; overfilled trash bins and spilled trash were found at multiple locations, including the dinning/kitchenette room, air conditioning room and throughout the workfloor.  c. On or about October 23, 2020, at the U.S. Postal Service Post Office, 100 Borinquen Avenue, Trujillo Alto, PR; food and beverage waste was found in noncompliant overfilled disposal receptacles at multiple locations throughout the workfloor and adjacent rooms.
