1910.212(a)(1) One or more methods of machine guarding shall be provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. On or about 1/11/21, the employer failed to ensure that the Line 3 Puller, model #230-6, serial #48418-1, was completely enclosed by machine guarding methods. The enclosure had an opening that was about 7" in height and 7" wide. The opening was about 5" from the rotating horizontal belts. The bottom run of the lower belt was about 41" above the walking/working surface.
