29 CFR OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish the employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm in that employees were exposed to crushing hazards. a) Quad Graphics Marketing, 25 E Park Drive Westampton, NJ 08060: Employees were exposed to crushing hazards when manually moving rolls of paper weighing 1,000 pounds to load onto a printer. The employer did not take steps to ensure the stability of the roll when it was moved onto the printer. An employee's foot was crushed by a roll of paper when the employee was rolling the 1,000 pound roll of paper off a wooden pallet. During that motion the roll tipped over and fell on the employee's foot, on or about 1/18/2021. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
