The employer failed to ensure protective eye equipment was worn when exposed to these hazards.

29 CFR 1910.151(c):Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: (a) At the worksite located at 800 Atlantic Street Kansas City, MO 64116: Employees exposure risk for debilitating eye injuries due to splashes from corrosive and irritant chemicals, such as Synchlorozene, Brine water, White salt, and Sodium Hypochlorite. There was no suitable eyewash station placed in the immediate work area for quick drenching and flushing of the eyes and body.

The employer failed to provide employees with the training to required to understand how to properly handle and protect themselves with appropriate PPE for hazardous substances at the workplace.
