Employees engaged in decorative finishing activities in the decorative finishing department who are required to wear respirators were exposed to health hazards in that the employer had not developed and implemented a written respiratory protection program.

29 CFR 1910.134(k):The employer did not provide comprehensive, understandable training which did not occur annually and/or more often if necessary: Employees were exposed to health hazards. Employees In the decorative finishing area engaged in grinding operations are exposed to hazards associated with wearing a half mask respirator in that the employees were not trained on proper use of respirators, including putting on and removing them, any limitations on their use, and their maintenance.

29 CFR 1910.95(d)(1):When information indicated that any employee's exposure equaled or exceed the 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels, the employer did not develop and implement a monitoring program: Employees were exposed to health hazards. Employees engaged in concrete pouring and spinning activities were exposed to health hazards in that the employer had not developed and implemented a noise monitoring program. The employer maintained a hearing conservation program, required employees to wear hearing protection and on January 22, 2021 were exposed to a TWA of 92.1 dBA.
