29 CFR  1910.1200(h)(1): Employers shall provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new chemical hazard the employees have not previously been trained about is introduced into their work area. Information and training may be designed to cover categories of hazards (e.g., flammability, carcinogenicity) or specific chemicals. Chemical-specific information must always be available through labels and safety data sheets.  a. On or about January 21, 2021,  temporary employees working inside the Assembly Area were potentially being exposed to hazardous chemicals while being required to use Adhesive ASI MP-55310 to create round base magnets, acetone to remove excessive adhesive material from magnets as needed, including alcohol to sanitize their workstations on a daily basis and the employer did not ensure that temporary employees were provided effective training on the hazards to which they were exposed.    b. On or about January 21, 2021,  a permanent employee working inside the Assembly Area was potentially being exposed to hazardous chemicals while being required to use Adhesive ASI MP-55310 to create round base magnets, acetone to remove excessive adhesive material from magnets as needed, including alcohol to sanitize the workstation on a daily basis and employer did not ensure that the permanent employee was provided effective training on the hazards in a language the employee could comprehend.  Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
