29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: Location: 2061 State Street, Hamden, Connecticut Bus Operator and Maintenance employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work. Employees working in the maintenance department were utilizing the Quat Lemon 64 - Simonizi chemical to clean and disinfect facility and buses without receiving proper information and training about the hazards of the chemicals being used. Bus Operators experienced head aches, skin rashes, and respiratory issues when the buses that had recently been cleaned and disinfected using the Quat Lemon 64 - Simonizi were not allowed sufficient time for ventilation prior to being occupied and operated.
