29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Establishment/Production shop Employees exposed to amputation hazards while operating the Unipac- model 120, serial# 2018504 machine as it was was not properly guarded to prevent employees from getting their hands inside the machine. On 01/16/2021, a temporary employee sustained injuries to her right index finger when she placed her hand inside the machine while it was running. Violation occurred on or about 01/16/2021.
