29 CFR 1910.133(a)(3): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee who wore prescription lenses while engaged in operations that involve eye hazards wore eye protection that incorporates the prescription in its design, or wore eye protection that can be worn over the prescription lenses without disturbing the proper position of the prescription lenses or the protective lenses:  A.) Rupe Industries, LLC dba Johnson Industries Pallets, 6774 Orangeville Road, Sharpsville, PA 16150, on or about March 2, 2021 and times prior thereto: Employees perform work operations with and around wood working equipment. The employees were wearing prescription safety glasses that did not meet ANSI Z87 requirements.   ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

The employees were wearing prescription safety glasses that did not have side impact protection. The portable multi-purpose dry chemical fire extinguishers were not inspected monthly.
