29 CFR  1926.501(b)(1):Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:  (a)Quest Construction, LLC at 3811 7th Avenue Southeast, Aberdeen, SD 57401:  On or about and at times prior to March 3, 2021 the employer did not ensure employees were protected from falling by use of a fall protection system in that, an employee was conducting framing activities while standing on the exterior top plate of a single-story commercial project and exposed to a fall hazard during the installation of the roof truss system. This condition exposed an employee to a fall hazard of approximately 10 feet.  Quest Construction, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1364834, citation number 1, item number 2a, and was affirmed as a final order on April 9, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 502 East 2nd Street, Redfield, SD 57469.
