On or about March 05, 2021, on the northwest side of the project site, employees were performing masonry work on the outside of a building utilizing scaffolding with gaps in-between planks as large as three (3) inches wide at heights upwards of eight (8) feet.

WD Masonry, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1183685, citation number 01, item number 01 and was affirmed as a final order on 08 December 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 925 West Edenborne Pkwy, Gonzales, LA, 70737.

29 CFR  1926.451(e)(1):When scaffold platforms were more than 2 feet (0.6 m) above or below a point of access, portable ladders, hook-on ladders, attachable ladders, stair towers (scaffold stairways/towers), stairway-type ladders (such as ladder stands), ramps, walkways, integral prefabricated scaffold access, or direct access from other scaffold, structure, personnel hoist, or similar surface was not used.  Cross-braces were used as a means of access.  On or about March 05, 2021, on the northwest side of the building; employees were observed ascending/descending the scaffolding utilizing the cross braces while performing brick-siding installation on the exterior of the building at heights upwards of eight (8) feet.  WD Masonry, LLC was previously cited for a repeat violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard CFR 1926.451(e)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1183685, citation number 02, item number 01 and was affirmed as a final order on 08 December 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 925 West Edenborne Pkwy, Gonzales, LA, 70737.
