29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(B):The employer shall provide training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program are understood by employees and that the knowledge and skills required for the safe application, usage, and removal of the energy controls are acquired by employees. The training shall include the following: Each affected employee shall be instructed in the purpose and use of the energy control procedure. On or before 3/11/2021 the employer did not properly train affected employees on the purpose of a lockout program and the role of an affected employee not to perform maintenance or servicing such as tagging out equipment such as but not limited to the Menaras Rollseal opener (model #OGH).
