29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a): Workshop - Tapping Machine - One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator from hazards created from the rotating parts on the tapping machine. An employee suffered a partial finger amputation when he was using the tapping machine and his glove was pulled into the rotating parts, on or about, March 10, 2021. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
