29 CFR 1910.252(b)(2)(iii): Where the work permitted, the welder was not enclosed in an individual booth painted with a finish of low reflectivity such as zinc oxide and lamp black, or was enclosed with noncombustible screens similarly painted. Workers or other persons adjacent to the welding areas were not protected from the rays by noncombustible or flameproof screens or shields or were required to wear appropriate goggles. On or about March 24, 2021, an employee was welding in the welding shop without being appropriately enclosed by noncombustible screens, exposing employees walking through the area to the hazard of making eye contact with the light emitted from the welding process.

29 CFR 1910.253(b)(4)(i): 1910.253(b)(4)(i): Oxygen cylinders were stored near highly combustible material, especially oil and grease; or near reserve stocks of carbide and acetylene or other fuel-gas cylinders, or near other substance likely to cause or accelerate fire: On or about March 23, 2021, oxygen compressed gas cylinders used for gas cutting were stored adjacent to liquefied petroleum gas cylinders, exposing employees who retrieved oxygen cylinders to the hazard of fire.
