29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Marvel series 8 vertical bandsaw: On or about April 22, 2020 and times prior, an employee used a Marvel Series 8 vertical bandsaw to cut 1 1/2 inch pipe down to size. The adjustable blade could not be adequately lowered to protect employees from the 3 inch unused portion of the exposed blade.
