29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where the eyes or body of any person were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body was not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use. a) State Metal Industries, Exterior of Chlorine building (in front of Garage Door): An empty water bottle and dirt were observed inside of the eyewash station located outside of the chlorine building where employees performed one ton chlorine container changes. Suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not available due to the unsanitary condition of the eyewash station, on or about 1/21/21. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATMET CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1,000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
