OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to fall hazards from ineffective training: a. At 5438 Pedrick Crossing Drive in Tallahassee, FL: On or about May 7, 2021, the employer exposed employees, removing a dead tree, to fall hazards of up to 35 feet. Ineffective training prevented the Crew Leader and Climber from recognizing and considering relevant factors pertaining to a dead tree, in order to take appropriate actions to ensure a safe tree removal operation.
