OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1) The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees due to lack of management of inspections, training and enforcement of policies. a) The Hyatt House at 17254 Five Points Square Lewes, DE 19958: On or about May 13, 2021, the employer failed to ensure employees had and used fall protection while working approximately 41 feet above the grade, exposing employees to fall hazards. Furthermore, the General Contractor for the site exposed all employees entering the roof area to falls approximately 41 feet above construction grade including concrete.

OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1) The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees due to lack of management of inspections, training and enforcement of policies. a) The Hyatt House at 17254 Five Points Square Lewes, DE 19958: On or about May 13, 2021, the employer failed to ensure employees used ladders that extended at least 3 feet above the upper landing to access the upper levels of a multi story building, exposing employees to fall hazards approximately 41 feet above grade.
