29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): The point of operation of machines whose operation exposes an employee to injury, shall be guarded. The guarding device shall be in conformity with any appropriate standards therefor, or, in the absence of applicable specific standards, shall be so designed and constructed as to prevent the operator from having any part of his body in the danger zone during the operating cycle:  On or about May 11, 2021, an employee was assigned to hand-feed, align, and support small metal parts for single and multiple bends in the unguarded point of operation of the pedal-operated ERMAK CNC HAP 12 330 Press Brake.  The operator's fingers and hands were exposed to the pinch point created during the operating cycle.  Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 1903.19(d).
