OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to amputation hazards.   a) Worksite, 301 Scott Ave, Calverton, New York 11933, Regrind Area:  On or about June 13, 2021, an employee was cutting sections of plastic PVC boards with a Dewalt D28715 Chop Saw with a toothed circular saw blade attached, causing the saw to kick back, exposing the employee to amputation hazards.    Note: In addition to abatement certification, the employer is required to submit abatement documentation for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
