29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: The employer is failing ensure that employees are protected from struck-by hazards. This condition was most recently documented at a worksite located at 3211 Rodeo Rd., North Platte, Nebraska. The employer is failing to ensure that employees using a 6-inch Baldor bench grinder had the abrasive wheel periphery opening was adjusted to within one-fourth of an inch. The opening was measured at approximately one-half inches.
